Position Title: Associate Manager, Human Resources Business Partner

External Description:

Summary of the role 

The purpose of the role is to be a HR partner to Japan whole organization. In addition, the role will be involved in executing HR Policies and practices that will enable the company to meet its strategic and operational goals. The role will provide a generalist HR service, including employee relations, recruitment, development and performance management to the Japan whole organization

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the culture improvement activity to become a great place to work.
  • Lead and drive development of HR policies, processes, and values that are both compliant with legislation and match best practice.
  • Provide comprehensive, proactive HR partnering service to Area/FUNCTION.
  • Build a strong business relationship with stakeholders
  • Coordinate performance management process, annual merit process review, engagement survey, succession management process
  • Implements and identifies gaps in the talent management process
  • Provides solutions and counsel to stakeholders
  • Manage Employee Relation Cases
  • Acts as SME to Employee Relations, Employee Engagement and other HR Processes

Educational qualifications

University Degree, Human Resources or Management or equivalent

Experience (Relevant, total number of years, describing the type of experience required)

  • At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in a related field as required for the position 
  • Previous experience with HR systems, policy administration, and previous experience/exposure to HR related processes and disciplines such as compensation, succession planning, recruitment, and performance management
  • Proficient with MS Office (mandatory) and Workday (optional)
  • Strong communication skills and change management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish trust and credibility with employees and managers
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Collaborative and able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong judgment and decision making skills are required
  • Displays a sense of urgency and strong initiative
  • Understanding of local Employment law
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as would be expected in an International environment

Other requirements

  • Korean Language capability is a big plus
  • Wish / aspiration to be promoted to the higher position in SCJ
