Position Title: Analyst, Global Trade Compliance

External Description:

The Role

This role has responsibility for implementation of Global Trade Compliance (GTC) policies and procedures, calculating monthly KPIs and reporting, auditing, execution of specific processes within trade compliance, and support of the team’s over all goals and objectives. You will also have the opportunity to work with the regional team which will expand your skill sets and prepare you for professional growth – either for opportunities in the regional or global business.

What you will do

  • Act as the liaison between SCJ and 3rd-party logistics providers, freight forwarding agents, Customs import brokers and other cross-functional areas
  • Assist in auditing of broker and forwarder records, record findings, and monitor performance
  • Interfaces with GTC Lead regarding export/import /trade compliance requirements
  • Maintains applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Assists in assuring the timely processing of broker/forwarder/carrier invoices

The requirements

  • Bachelor degree required, preferably within Business,  Supply Chain, or International  Studies
  • Working knowledge of SAP or Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word and Powerpoint in particular)
  • Strong sense of urgency  
  • Self-starter and attention to detail with ability to work with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of the complexities of moving products across borders: international freight, duties, custom brokers, freight forwarders, ocean/air carriers, and import/export regulations, HTS classification preferred
  • Creatively seeking opportunities to improve processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to execute professionally
  • Ability to build business partnerships and external collaboration opportunities  
  • Analytic skills in the ability to leverage data and drive continuous improvement
  • This is contract basis (1 year)
