Position Title: Sr. Analyst, Global Trade Compliance

Summary:

As the Senior Analyst, Global Trade Compliance, you will be responsible for implementation of Global Trade Compliance (GTC) policies and procedures, including review of potential duty drawback, retroactively duty claim and Malaysia sales tax drawback end to end process. You will need to share your expertise and act as a liaison with Malaysia (MY) Custom and custom broker associated with Sales and Services Tax (SST) drawback and Harmonized System (HS) code classification matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calculate monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting, auditing, execution of specific processes within trade compliance scope and function
  • Review, track and update newest Free Trade Agreement (FTA) capability 
  • Report and escalate latest global policies and procedure under Custom latest news, rulings and highlights
  • Explore and analyst monthly duty report and identify potential on new Free Trade Agreement lanes 
  • Act as the liaison between SC Johnson (SCJ) and 3rd-party logistics providers, freight forwarding agents, Customs import brokers and other cross-functional areas 
  • Knowledge of the complexities of moving products across borders in international freight, duties, custom brokers, freight forwarders, ocean / air carriers and import / export regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification preferred 
  • Interfaces with GTC Lead regarding export / import / trade compliance requirements 

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s in Business Admin or Logistics Management 
  • 3 years’ experience in dealing with custom broker, customs and export management 
  • Working knowledge of SAP or Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular) 
  • Understand Custom rules, regulation and engagement
